Loyverse KDS is a kitchen display system app that runs on iPad or Android tablets. It shows orders sent from Loyverse POS and is usually placed in the kitchen so cooks can view order details and prepare dishes. KDS replaces traditional kitchen printers and paper tickets with a modern digital workflow, helping you save time and reduce paper waste.

What information does KDS display?

KDS shows all essential order details: item names, quantities, modifiers, and comments. Tickets are also color-coded to indicate how much time has passed since the order was placed, making it easier to prioritize dishes.

Can KDS handle dietary restrictions or special requests?

Yes. Notes entered in the POS, such as allergies or special instructions, are displayed on KDS so your staff can prepare dishes accurately.

How much does Loyverse KDS cost?

Loyverse KDS is completely free. You can download it from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

What hardware is Loyverse KDS compatible with?

Loyverse KDS works on iPad (iOS or higher) and Android tablets (Android or higher). While the minimum requirement is a 7" screen, we recommend at least a 10" display for better visibility. Tablets should be positioned in landscape mode. You can also connect an iOS POS device to an Android KDS, and vice versa.

How do I set up Loyverse KDS?

First, create a Loyverse account and install at least one Loyverse POS app. Then, install the Loyverse KDS app on a separate tablet and place it in the kitchen (landscape mode recommended). POS and KDS connect via Wi-Fi through your router. Follow the setup guide to connect and configure.

Can I connect multiple KDS stations to the same POS?

Yes. You can connect multiple KDS stations to one POS. Each KDS can be configured to display orders from different item groups (e.g., kitchen, bar, desserts). These settings are managed in the Back Office and on the KDS app.
